Zap Lite: How To Add Sections To Your Homepage
The Zap Lite theme was designed to make it as easy as possible for you to use. We consciously develop each site so that clients get the precise competition site they want. In some instances, you may want to change the layout of your site to better suit your customers' needs, and we’ve made it super easy to do.
Many of our competition sites have been created to meet specific design standards set out by our clients. By updating the layout yourself, you risk changing the look of your site.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your site's layout before you go live, we highly encourage you to ask for changes in the snagging phase.
If you do wish to change your site's layout, we recommend copying blocks we have already created, as they will be configured to match the design standards of your site.
How To Change The Layout Of Your Homepage
Navigate to the backend of your Zap site
Click ‘Pages > All Pages’ in the toolbar on the left-hand side of your page
You’ll be taken to a list of all pages that your site currently has.
Navigate to your Home Page and click ‘Edit’.
Click ‘Page Layout’
You’ll see something like this, which is a list of all ‘blocks’ that make up your homepage.
A ‘block’ is a section of your website that performs a certain task.
Below is a full list of blocks you can choose from:

Gallery Block
Game Nav Block

Icon Block
Link Block

Message Block
Payments Block

To Add a New Section To Your Homepage:
Click ‘Add Block’
Select which kind of block you’d like to add
Configure the block as you need
To save your changes, click ‘Close’
We always recommend you Preview Your Changes before you save them. You can do this by clicking ‘Preview Changes’ at the top of the page
When you’re happy with your changes, click ‘Update’
How To Copy and Paste Block Layouts and Configurations From A Different Page
Click the drop-down arrow beside ‘Add Block’
To copy a layout you’d like to use on another page, click ‘Copy Layouts’. This will copy a piece of code that represents your blocks
To paste a layout into a new page click ‘Paste layouts’
A pop-up text box will appear
Paste your copied layout into the text box and click ‘Apply’
Your layouts will now appear in your page layout
To save your changes, click ‘Update’
How To Move The Blocks On Your Homepage Around
Your site uses a drag and drop system to easily move blocks from one section of your site to the other. It’s super easy - all you have to do is:
Hover over the block you want to move
Drag your block to the place you’d like it to go
Click ‘Update’
Boom - it’s done.
How To Rename Blocks
When you have looooooads of content blocks, it’s a slippery slope to losing control of how your site will look. To make it easier, we recommend renaming each content block to explain what they do.
Here’s how you do it:
On the block you want to rename, click the three dogs beside the cog symbol
Click ‘Rename’
In the pop-up box, type the name you’d like to call your block and click ‘Rename’
Click ‘Update’ in the top right-hand corner of your page to save your changes.
