⚡Can I Change a Credit Prize to a Cash Prize After My Competition is Live?
There are a few answers to this question. The first thing to know is that, generally speaking, we don’t recommend changing any prizes once you’ve listed them.
That’s simply because it helps you to build trust with your players if you hand out the prizes you originally listed. It looks confident and helps people know, when they enter the competition, that they’ll get what they paid for.
However, sometimes life doesn’t go as planned. We get it.
So, technically: yes. You can change a credit prize to a cash one. But there’s a couple of caveats! Let us explain.
⚡️ Caveat One: One Prize At A Time
So you can change your not-yet-won prizes from credit to cash once the prize has gone live, but you can only change one prize at a time.
That means you’ll have to go through each of the credit competitions you’ve got and change them to cash prizes individually, through your admin dashboard.
But, there’s no option to change credit competitions to cash competitions in bulk . That’s to help build trust with your audience, so there’s not enormous examples of chopping-and-changing.
⚡️ Caveat Two: Have A Cut-Off Date
Our recommended practice for changing competition prizes from credit to cash is that you only do it in the early stages after a competition has been launched.
We suggest that you have a cut-off date for when you can change prizes. For reasons of trust and coherence, we don’t vibe with changing the prizes on offer the day before the Prize Draw, for example. But if you really need to change something at the start—maybe for technical reasons—you can.
⚡️Credit Where Credit’s Due
So, there you have it. The technicalities of a little prize swap. If you want to talk to our team about the logistics of your comps site, you absolutely can and, indeed, you should. We actively encourage it and we promise we don’t bite or anything.
