Zap Pay: Everything you need to know about the zApplication Process
Have you caught up with the developments around Zap Pay? Zap’s very own Payment Gateway is up and running. That means a lot of positives for your business, your customers, and you!
But how can you get involved?
Here’s everything you wanted to know about signing up for Zap Pay.
⚡The Application Process
1. Register your interest by getting in touch with Zap today
2. One of our Account managers will contact you. They will discuss Zap Pay - what it is, what it entails, all the ins and outs you need to know before you get started. If you have questions that weren’t covered in our Knowledge Base articles on the subject, now is the time to fire away!
3. You’ll then be contacted by a member of our Onboarding Team. They’ll chat to you on Slack, so make sure you have all the appropriate logins available and are familiar with the layout. The team will ask you for a few key documents to help verify your identity and banking details.
This includes:
⚡Documentation of your processing history, recent bank statements, and all that fun stuff
⚡Proof of your date of birth
⚡Proof of address
There may be more, though - it depends on your business.
4. Our Onboarding Team will then submit your application.
5. You’ll be emailed by DNA Payments. These guys are our Acquirers, meaning they’re responsible for ensuring the safety and security of transactions that take place via Zap Pay. They’ll make sure everyone gets the money they need. In this instance, they’ll get in touch with a contract for you to sign.
6. Once you’ve signed this contract, it will be submitted to DNA Payments. Their underwriting team will check over your application. They may ask you for more documents; they may not! It really depends on the situation, but rest assured, the majority of your work is done.
7. Once the application is approved, Zap will let you know.
8. We will set a date with you to complete the switch. This includes switching from whichever Payment Gateway you’re using, to Zap Pay, as well as setting up Zap Cashier.
We will discuss this with you because your website will be down for a short time (around 30 mins) while we complete the switcheroo. That means we want to know the best time to do this; a nice, quiet time, usually Monday to Wednesday. And that’s it!
