How To Automate A Sale Period
Gonna treat your customers to a cheeky sale? Hats off to you. Here's how to do it.
⚡️ How To Set Up A Sale
You can make sure your sale runs automatically, saving you the hassle of sorting it out manually. 1. Navigate to WordPress
2. Log in
3. Click on 'Products' in the grey left sidebar. It will show you a big list of all the products (competitions!) you've ever listed, including drafts
4. Create a new competition, OR select the competition you want to add a sale to. If there are multiple, you'll have to do this one at a time
5. Once you're on the product page, you'll see this sidebar:
6. Click on 'Tickets'
7. Find where it says ‘Regular Price (£)’; underneath this, there’s a box that says ‘Sale Price (£)’
8. Type in the price of tickets while they’re on sale
9. Then, you want to set a time frame for the sale to run for. For example, you might run it over Black Friday Weekend, and then go back to business as usual.
This just means that the system will automatically change the prices for you, and pop them back when the sale is over.
To set this up, select the time period you want the sale to run for, using the ‘Sale Start Date’ calendar:
10. When you've made the changes, click 'Publish' to save.
