Why Would I Need to Override Default Rules?
A little birdy told us you want to override rules. How rebellious of you.
Don’t worry, you won’t get into trouble. In fact, it’s completely fine—not to mention easy—to do.
On your WordPress dashboard in the back-end of your site, you’ll see ‘Products’ in the left-hand sidebar. Click on that, and then head to ‘Overrides.’
The ‘Overrides’ section isn’t needed very often. People only venture into this section if they need to add specific rules to their competition. Say you were running a holiday competition and you wanted your rules to specify that all entrants must have a valid passport with a minimum of six months remaining. That’s when you’d journey to this section and make your updates.
While this is an easy process to complete, it’s not as simple as copying and pasting your new rule into the section. Doing that won’t work. Why? Funny you should ask — we've an article about that.
Sure, you could just start typing, but that’d erase all the information that’s already there. If you want to keep this information there (legally, as a comp business, you must mention them), but just wanted to add a rule to it, then head to the ‘Rules’ section.
