How Do I Ensure That My Winner Selected the Correct Answer?

There comes a moment in every competition where you have to select a winner. Now, for prize draws that aren't gambling, you'll know that you have to include a little skill element. That is likely a multiple-choice question. You want your winner to have answered the question right, right? Yeah. Here's how to sort the winners from the non-winners.

1. Log in to the back end of your site

2. Navigate to the left-hand sidebar

3. Hover over ‘Competitions’, and click on ‘All Competitions’

4. You'll see a list of all the competitions that have been created

5. Click on the competition you want to view. Now, you’ll be able to see a list of all the tickets that have been purchased. You'll also see three tabs:

6. Click on 'Results'

7. Scroll down to see ‘Download Results’ 

8. You want to filter results by those who gave the correct answer to the multiple-choice. Next to ‘Correct Answer’, select ‘Download All’ 

9. This will download a CSV that only includes those entrants who gave the right answer, and are therefore eligible for prizes

10. Assuming you use a random number generator in order to select winners, follow the usual process

11. When it spits out a winning ticket number, you can use the CSV you just downloaded in order to cross-reference the ticket, and see if they’re entitled to win
