⚡What is a Slider?

A slider, on WordPress, is a design element that acts as a slideshow, in a way. It displays multiple images, videos or other types of content in a single, rotating area of your site. It’s a good feature for when you want to highlight certain content or promote a competition. 

⚡How Do I Add a Slider to My Website?

You can access the Slider manually:

1. In your back-end (so, on WordPress), click on ‘Appearance’ and then ‘Customise’ in the left sidebar

2. In your Customiser, click ‘Homepage’

3. Then click ‘Slider’

4. Then click on ‘Slide 1’

If you have multiple slides, click these arrows (screenshot below). This will take you to all the slides you have on your site.

‘Slide Text 1’ and ‘Slide Text 2’ can both be edited. Pop the link to your competition in the box where it says ‘Link URL.’

If you’d like to add more slides, you can! Just scroll down a little and click the ‘Add Slide’ button. Then, follow the exact same steps as above (e.g. add the link and some text).
