Where to Put Your Email and SMS Marketing Sign-Up Forms On Your Website?
Sign-up forms are an essential part of marketing. It’s a way to get your players subscribed to your email and/or SMS communications, and keep them informed.
But having sign-up forms alone isn’t enough. It’s where you place the form that has an impact on whether your mailing list grows or not.
⚡How It Works on Klaviyo
Klaviyo offers room for creativity. It gives you several options to display your sign-up forms — especially for email marketing. Although these forms can be used for SMS marketing too, we have a different solution for that. More on that in two shakes of a lamb’s tail; we can’t reveal all our secrets at once!
Anyhoo. Klaviyo. People normally put an email sign-up form at the bottom of their homepage — near the footer. Buuut, Klaviyo also gives you the option to have a pop-up in addition to this. The pop-up can say something like: ‘sign up to our mailing list and receive £5 off your first order.’ Convincing, isn’t it?
You can also play around with your branding on Klaviyo. Whether it’s logos or images you want, you’ve got the option to customise the form to your liking.
⚡How It Works on Customer.io
When it comes to SMS marketing, we’ve hopped aboard the Customer.io train.
They’re a great provider. Here’s why:
They allow for advanced personalisation in your messages, using real-time and first-party data
Their platform can hold a large amount of data and complex campaigns
They provide comprehensive analytics, helping you to measure your campaign performance effectively
We wanted to work with Customer.io so badly that we created our own custom integration in order to get it to work with our site. Then, we also built our own newsletter sign-up feature. Call us Bob the Builder, because we do a lot of buildin’ around here!
Our newsletter sign-up feature can be used EITHER as a sign-up at the bottom of the homepage, or as a pop-up. Currently, it’s not possible to use both, like on Klaviyo, but one option is better than none, right?
And remember: the sign-up button isn’t the only way to get people to subscribe to your communications. There’s other — more fun and interactive — ways to get people to sign up to your mailing list. 😎
You might notice that the newsletter sign-up form is a bit basic at first. Don’t worry. We can do some customisation, including basic colour changes via CSS, if you’re interested. Just contact a dev, and we’ll get it sorted for ya!
