Zap's New Theme: Customising Your Homepage and How To Order Your Competitions
There’s a new theme taking Zap by storm. That means a few adjustments to how you customise your homepage.
We’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Here’s how to order your competitions how you like them.
⚡️How To Order Your Competitions Homepage
Navigate to ‘Pages’ in the left sidebar
Go to your Homepage and click ‘Edit Page’
Open the ‘Page Layout’ tab
Find the ‘Product Block’ section and click the little pencil sign
You’ll be shown
this page:
As you can see, it includes a ‘Product Shortcode’.
It’s this section we’re going to focus on.
⚡️Product Shortcode
Team Zap has created a list of the shortcodes you can use. But really, all you need to do is add a snippet at the end of this code, which explains what you want the competition to look like.
Here’s an example.
Say you want to order your competitions by price (low-high). All you’d need to do is add the ‘orderby=”price” orders=”ASC]
Once you’re happy with your shortcode, click the cross in the top right corner of the box to close the pop-up and click ‘Update’
⚡️How To Order Your Competitions On The Competitions Page
Go to the page customiser in the front-end of your site
Go to WooCommerce
Click on ‘Product Catalogue’
Look for ‘Default Product Sorting’ in the sidebar
Use the drop-down menu to select the order you’d like the competitions to appear in.
Click ‘Publish’ to update
